Research Reports

The students have been working on research report writing the last couple of weeks. Students have learned about introductions and main idea, and how to write topic sentences. They chose a topic of their own and wrote at least 5 questions to research about their topic. Students have this information in their non-fiction folders in their desks. The last few days students have been given time to use iPads, laptops, and library books in order to research the information about their topics. During the March break students will have to bring home their folders and finish researching their topic. When we come back after the break we will be working on how to turn these notes into paragraphs and how to create an outline.
